Bleeding Heart Narrative & Gosia Winter

Wire & String

ttrdd006
Release Date: August 17th 2009
Digital Purchase from iTunes

This release is available only as a digital download.

This is a collaboration between Bleeding Heart Narrative and Gosia Winter, a musician from Australia. All the tracks were constructed without the two musicians ever having met, exchanging ideas, sounds, and files back and forth across the continents.

The eight tracks span the range from fractured pop to off-kilter folk, with both artists playing a wide variety of instruments, including harp, cello, kalimba, piano and assorted percussion, and both contributing vocals. A beautifully crafted set of songs, we really can't recommend this highly enough. Fans of the first Bleeding Heart Narrative album will want to check this out, and we think it will attract many new converts also.

To celebrate the release we will also be running a remix project - all the component parts of Amen Oh My are available to download, and we are inviting people to submit their own versions and interpretations. For full details head here.

Release Details

In something of a first for Tartaruga, we present a new release that is available to purchase only as a digital download. This is not a sign of a change in our policy towards physical releases, as we will in general continue to make limited edition physical releases with a strong focus on packaging and design.

However, we are not luddite or dismissive of new technologies, and all of our existing releases are also available to purchase digitally.

This particular release, at 8-tracks long, is shorter than a full album and as our physical releases invariably take more time and money to produce than most CD versions, we felt it would make more sense to present this in a more convenient format. We also have a bunch of releases already scheduled this year, but we didn't want to keep this one back too long.
