Brassica // microvictories - 21st July 2008

microvictories, the new release by Brassica on Tartaruga will be available for sale from 21st July 2008. This website will be taking pre-orders, but CDs will not be shipped until that date. Next Tartaruga Release & Other Updates

The second Tartaruga release, due out in July, will be the debut full length from Brassica, entitled 'Microvictories'. We'll bring you the exact release date very soon, but for now there is some information posted about the release releases/ttrcd002" title="Brassica">here and also a free track available to download.

The album is a fascinating exploration of the boundary between analogue and electronic, featuring an array of sounds, instruments, songs and methods, whilst retaining a playful touch and a sense of humour. Packaging is in the signature Tartaruga recycled sewn/screenprinted/stamped/numbered cardstock gatefold sleeve, and as usual the attention to detail is second to none. The CD comes with a set of ten colour-printed postcards featuring song-specific designs from ten different visual artists.

In other news, we made a Muxtape. Yup. Featuring a track from the forthcoming Brassica album, a new Bleeding Heart Narrative song, and a host of other tracks that we love and are inspired by. Check it out here.

Album launch - The Miller, London Bridge: Tuesday 4th March

To celebrate the release of the debut CD from Bleeding Heart Narrative, and the first release on Tartaruga Records, there will be an album launch gig taking place at The Miller in London Bridge, London UK. This is taking place on Tuesday 4th March 2008.

This will be a full live set from Bleeding Heart Narrative, playing as part of the Be Prepared night. The line-up will include 3 cellos, viola, guitars, drums, bass, and vocals.

CDs will be available to buy for £8 at the venue, so please come down and say hello.

First Release on Tartaruga out on 4th March 2008

The very first release on Tartaruga will be released on 4th March 2008. This is the debut album from Bleeding Heart Narrative, entitled 'all that was missing we never had in the world', and we're very proud to be able to bring this work to a wider audience. The album will be available on this website via mail-order, and also at live shows.

To launch this album, Bleeding Heart Narrative will be playing as part of the Be Prepared night at The Miller in London Bridge, London, on Tuesday 4th March.
