Max Bondi

Working both alone and in collaboration with others for the last few years, Max Bondi has been making and transforming sounds, working within the limitations of his instruments and equipment. Using guitar, bass, piano, and anything else he can find, he utilises his own playing as the source material for his compositions.

A limited release 3" CD on the Public Guilt label in 2007 (a collaboration with New York's Ala Muerte) garnered praise from various quarters, and was described in The Wire as "intoxicating", which we think is a good thing.

The debut album - M - is released through Tartaruga in 2009. This album features a development of the sound heard on previous releases, featuring a wide array of instruments (organ, guitar, percussion, piano, and various others), all self-recorded and then manipulated. All the sounds used on this album are played/recorded by Max Bondi, and then treated digitally. The album also features guest appearances from Ala Muerte and Bleeding Heart Narrative.
