Max Bondi

Working both alone and in collaboration with others for the last few years, Max Bondi has been making and transforming sounds, working within the limitations of his instruments and equipment. Using guitar, bass, piano, and anything else he can find, he utilises his own playing as the source material for his compositions. These sounds are stretched and twisted, looped and fractured, wrought into something new, and straddle the boundary between computer and acoustic music - digital manipulation of analogue sounds.

A limited release 3" CD on the Public Guilt label in 2007 (a collaboration with New York's Ala Muerte) garnered praise from various quarters, and was described in The Wire as "intoxicating", which presumably is a good thing.

We're not quite sure what he's planning to produce for us yet, but we hope that later on in the year we can announce further details. Expect a CD towards the end of 2008.
