The dictionary definition of raucous is "harsh, strident, grating" or alternatively "boisterous and disorderly", and so this seems the most appropriate epithet with which to describe American Gods.

American Gods play raucous, loud, fractured noisy rock music. We're not entirely sure where they came from, though we are fairly certain they are neither Gods nor American.
